The community pays for it first, and the shares exist the moment the goal is met — before the item has even been bought.

Post what you want
Link the item anywhere online — GOAT, StockX, Amazon — with its price, shipping and any fees. ItemBase's 5% is added on top, and the whole goal is shown to every backer.

The community funds it
Backers escrow USDG in the campaign contract, not with ItemBase. With no deadline they can withdraw any time before the goal is met; with a deadline, everyone reclaims if it is not reached.

Shares go live at the goal
It is tokenized the moment it is funded — before ItemBase has even bought it — so shares trade while the item is purchased and shipped. It stays marked Awaiting custody until verified.

Claim, trade, or sell it whole
Backers claim shares pro rata to what they put in. Anyone can then offer for the entire item; holders vote, and if it sells everyone is paid in proportion to what they hold.

Shares are minted after ItemBase has the item in hand and has verified it.

Find or create the item
Search the catalog. If your exact item is not there yet, create it — ItemBase accepts essentially any permissible physical product.

Ship it to custody
You get a unique deposit code. Include it with your shipment so ItemBase can match the package to your account. It appears publicly as Shipping straight away.

ItemBase verifies it
On arrival the item is authenticated, graded, and photographed. Private details — serials, IMEIs, your address — never go onchain.

1,000,000 shares go live
The verified item becomes an NFT locked in its own vault, and exactly 1,000,000 shares are minted to your wallet. One share is 0.0001% of the object.
