An Initial Community Purchase funds an item nobody owns yet. You post it, the community pays for it, and ItemBase buys it on their behalf.

1. Post it. Link the item anywhere online — GOAT, StockX, Amazon — with its price, shipping and any fees. ItemBase's 5% is added on top, and the whole goal is shown to every backer.
2. The community funds it. Backers escrow USDG in the campaign contract, not with ItemBase. With no deadline they can withdraw any time before the goal is met; with a deadline, contributions lock and everyone reclaims if it is not reached.
3. It is tokenized the moment the goal is hit. All 1,000,000 shares exist immediately, so they can be traded while ItemBase is still buying and shipping the item. Until it is physically verified it is marked Awaiting custody.
4. Backers claim their share. Pro rata to what they put in — contribute a quarter of the goal, receive a quarter of the shares.
5. Trade, or sell the whole thing. Anyone can offer for the entire item; holders vote, and if it sells everyone is paid out in proportion to what they hold.

If the purchase ever falls through, the full amount raised is returned and every share redeems at the price the community paid.
